Pastor Samuel M. Dade, Jr.

Pastor Samuel M. Dade

He is a native of Montclair, New Jersey where he matriculated through the public school system and graduated from Montclair High School in 1976.  His freshman year he attended Andrews University where he studied Biology.  He later attended Howard University where he majored in Zoology.  It was at the center of Howard University’s campus on a Wednesday at exactly noon that he met Pastor Shelton Kilby passing out brochures for the Breath of Life Crusade with Elder C.D. Brooks.  That touched a nerve because Elder Brooks baptized him when he was only eight years old in one of the first Breath of Life campaigns conducted in Newark, New Jersey in 1966.  He attended every night and invited several class mates and 3 of them were baptized at the conclusion of the six week meeting.  It was that rendezvous and those meetings that would change his life forever.  The Lord spoke to him and called him to the ministry.  In 1980, he transferred for the last time to Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, Maryland where he completed his ministerial training in 1985, receiving his BA Degree.

Upon graduation, he accepted a ministerial internship with the South Atlantic Conference where he labored faithfully in that area of the Lord’s vineyard for 13 years.  During his tenure with the SAC, many souls were added to God’s Kingdom.   In addition, the Lord blessed his ministry by allowing him to build a new church edifice in Warner Robins, Georgia and the purchase of 8 acres of land for the Philadelphia Church in Council, North Carolina.

In 1998, the Southeastern Conference extended a call to him to join their ministerial team to pastor the Daytona Beach/Deland Florida District.  He labored there tirelessly for 9 years.  Through his efforts the interior of the Emmanuel-Deland church was renovated and the plans were drawn for a future church facility on the new 8.5 acre site.  Simultaneously, the Mt. Calvary-Daytona Beach church congregation under his leadership received the approval of both the Southeastern Conference’s Building and Executive Committees respectively to build a new church edifice.

In January of 2007, it was voted to reassign Pastor Dade to the pastoral duties of the Macedonia-Ft. Pierce/First-Port St. Lucie Florida District where he labored faithfully for 16 months.  Under his leadership many souls were baptized, church property was purchased in Port St. Lucie and architectural plans were developed in Ft. Pierce for a church edifice.

The Southeastern Conference at their July 2008 meeting voted to reassign him to the Patmos Chapel Seventh-day Adventist Church located in Winter Park, Florida.

Pastor Dade is married to the former Annette Anelcia Alleyne, of Queens, New York via Barbados, West Indies, a Health Science teacher at Apopka High School.  They are the proud parents of 4 children: Dominique’ (and son in-law Paul) who resides in Franklin, Tennessee; Samuel III, who resides in Orlando, Florida; Philip, who is a Sophomore at Southern Adventist University, in Collegedale, Tennessee; and Tyler, who is a fifth grader at Forest Lake Elementary Center, Apopka, Florida and two grandsons: Donovan, an energetic 4 year old and Christopher 5 months old, both residing in Franklin, Tennessee.
