Eric K. Peters was born in Boston, MA but was raised in Huntsville, AL where he attended Oakwood Elementary and Academy for 12 years and Oakwood University for one year before matriculating to the University of Alabama. After graduating from college, he gained most of his hands-on ministry experience as a volunteer in Madison Mission Seventh-day Adventist church’s youth department. After spending over five years in service there, he felt God calling him to pursue full-time ministry, so he enrolled in Andrews University Theological Seminary of Seventh-day Adventist in Berrien Springs, MI. During his time in Berrien Springs, he served as a volunteer in the Center for Youth and Evangelism and apart of the staff for the Pioneer Memorial Church youth department. Just a year into his study he received a call to serve as the Youth and Young Adult pastor at Madison Mission Seventh-day Adventist church. Eric holds a Masters of Science in Information Technology: Project Management and is currently pursuing a Masters in Youth Ministry. He has aspirations to obtain a doctorate in youth ministry to fulfill his heart’s desire.

Eric has been married to the former Donna Blackburn for nine years. They are the proud parents of three wonderful children; Regan, Ethan, and Makenzie. Together they enjoy ministering to the youth and empowering the voices of our young people by involving them in an appropriate and meaningful ministry. Eric strongly believes that “youth ministry is when youth do the ministry” and his goal is to bring youth closer to Jesus through relationship-building and Bible study.
